Great Black and White Photographers Part 3

1. What caught my eyes were that he has taken beautiful pictures of nature and i like the nature he has taken good position to take the photos. I love nature, it is so beautiful and he got to explore to other places and take them, in the right season, to make it that it sets the mood of viewers.

2. In "Great Black and White Photographers part 2",( First photo) I see snow every where on ground, trees, rocks, animals. (Second photo) I see dark sky's, little lights down the hill, a bright moon. 1st, i smell something sweet, and bitter. 2nd, i smell dry air, wet grass. 1st, i hear deers eating on bushes, birds leaving there nest, and falling snow from trees. 2nd, i hear silents, animals stocking there prey, little winds blowing through my ears. 1st, i taste sweet, sugar, and cold. 2nd, I taste sour, bitter, and dry.  I feel soft, smooth, firm snow.(1st photo) I feel smooth, rough, bumpy, cool sky's.

3. I would create two things, posters to show what kind of photos he likes to take in his work time, and blogs because i can share everything about him on how he was before a great photographer, and what his famous photo was in his collection.

Africa black/white powerpoint and Mural Project preview

The photos from the powerpoint were beautiful, peaceful... The photographer got really good ones of the animals in Africa, he got good position for taking the pictures. They were really good photos on the animals and he found spots where to take it so that the back round can fit it.
  
This is my favorite picture from the Africa black and white powerpoint because it make me feel happy and that since that they are a family ( I think ) they stick together as a herd. Also it sets the mood that they are ready to go some where or go out hunting for food and the one under the cheetah makes me that he/she is looking at something while the others are looking at something different from what he/she is looking.

A rule that is showing in this picture would be simplicity because it shows a plain back round and it is primarily showing the cheetah and nothing else in the picture.

The camera he used was a Pentax 6711with only two fixed lenses, he used to capture the animals in the photo. The reason he takes these photos was that he wants to show the animals personality in different ways that can be reveled."You wouldn't take a portrait of a human being from a hundred feet away and expect to capture their spirit; you'd move in close." His hope on taking this photos to record a last testament to the wild animals and places there before they are destroyed by the hands of man.


A theme that i would use here for Akins would be showing how hard the students are working to get better grades to become successful in the near future. A other thing i would use would be how much fun the students are having here at Akins and express there feeling in each photo.

 Its worth it because we can express everyones feelings on the mural or show how they have fun in Akins High School. Also we can get to known the students more well than ever! :) An other reason would be that is shows all the students on how they are in Akins, get to know them a little more better than ever, and see what fun is to them in Akins. 

Some good things for using a phone on this project would be that you can keep up with the photos and bad things would be that the person you work with won't be there with the phone, it can die, also it can have bad quality for taking a picture. Some good things for using a SLR cameras would be that you can have good quality from far and near places. The bad things with a SLR camera is that sometimes when downloading them it can be delete, batteries take a long time to charge.

I think we should use SLR cameras for this project because it has a good quality for taking pictures, using might be trouble cause you need the cord to download the pictures that you have taken and the camera you can just do it right there and now.

Academic Shoot reflection

1. The challenges that i faces during taking photos is finding a very good location to take the photos that follows the rules that you gave me.

2. What i found thinking the most is finding a good position to take the photo and how the camera should be angle for that photo. For this i found the cameras angle to see if the photo will come out good or bad, then find a position that is comferbul to take that photo.

3. What i could do differently is find more people in the photos that represent the rules and find angle that will make the photo look more appealing to the people's eyes to catch.

4. The things that i will do the same would be go at different angles to take the  photos and find a good setting for the photo.

5. The easiest for me will the rule of: Avoiding Merges the will the easiest rule for me.

6. The hardest to capture would be Rules of Third, the will be hardest rule for me.

7. The rule that I'm not clear of still is Balance still. What i could do is study it more and find examples of that rule in what is looks like when it is taken as a photo.

Academics Shoot

 Framing
I say i did a little good job on following the rule for this photo. The subject of this photo is Framing trying to get a frame in between a subject. I say a little clear to people who are looking at my photos. What i could do differently in my photo for Framing would be get more subjects in the pictures to make it look like a frame.

 Avoiding Merge
I will say i did a good job on following the rules for this photo. The subject of this picture is Avoiding Merge or to get every thing in the picture and not leave anything out so that people can see it more clearly than ever. Yes, people can see this subject clearly to them as they look at my photos.
I would change nothing but a bit more subjects in the photo to look more appealing to viewers eyes.


Rules of Third
Yes i say well job on following the rule for this photo. The subject of this photo is Rules of Third trying not to put the subject right in the middle but in the sides of the photos. I say a little clear for people looking at my photos. What i could to make it different is find more clearly space to take the photo and make sure that they are not in the middle of the camera.


Simplicity
I would say i did a good job on following the rules for this photo. The subject of this photo is Simplicity I'm trying to get the subject with out any distractions in the photo. I would say that people could see my photos clear. I wouldn't change anything but to get more people in my photo.


Lines
I would say i did a pretty good job on following the rule for the this photo. The subject of the photo is Lines. I would say not that much clear to people who are looking at my photo. What i would change is to find something clear enough to make viewers look at it clearly than before.

Balance

I say i did a good job on following the rules. The subjects of the photos are the Rules of Photo: Balance. Yes, i think it is clear to people that are looking at my photos. What i could do differently is that i should fin different locations to take the photos following the rules.

Academics Shoot Preview

Best story
This tells a story because a kid wants to grow up to teach and people out on learning new things that they need to learn.





Emotion
 There is happy in this photo and laughter and it sets the moods for the photograph.






Filling the frame
The Frame is filled by the the two students picking whits off the ground and the bushes in the back round help set the place and time of when this took place.


I pick this photo because it shows a angle to when the students drops the paint on the black surface and it makes great when they caught the splash in the photo. Some rules would be: color( when the paint splashed on the black surface), texture, and
Emphasis.

I can take this photo in class room that are doing a lab in science. I would like to the photo in any class that are doing labs. Go to other places and find something that is amazing or something that will capture peoples/viewers eyes and focus it on one thing.

Elements of art and Principles of Design

Line- marks made by a pointed tool: brush, pencil, pen, etc. Lines can vary in width, direction, curvature, length, or color.

I chose this photo because the are easy to see in the desert.


This painting shows the line right there on the pitch fork and the house on the back of them.

Shape formed wherever the ends of a continuous line meet. Geometric shapes such as circles, triangles or squares have perfect, uniform measurements and don't often appear in nature. Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, like plants and animals.

I chose this photo because the bubbles come out in different shapes instead of a circle.
This painting shows shapes on the far right.
Color- the primary colors, secondary colors, and the tertiary (intermediate) colors. They also show the relationships between complementary colors across from each other, such as blue and orange; and analogous (similar or related) colors next to each other such as yellow, green, and blue. Black and white may be thought of as colors but, in fact, they are not. White light is the presence of all color; black is the absence of reflected light and therefore the absence of color.

I chose the photo because it shows the the bright color on the persons hand.
This painting shows a lot of bright and dark color in this painting.
Value (Tone) -  refers to dark and light; the value scale refers to black and white with all gradations of gray in between. Value contrasts help us to see and understand a two-dimensional work of art.
 I chose this photo because it shows bight color as lights, and dark for night.
This painting shows shaded parts which are dark and light shade as the light color in the paining.

Form -describes objects that are three-dimensional, having length, width, and height.
 I chose this photo because a cube is three dimensional and has length, width, and height.
This painting shows three dimensional every where in the middle of the painting. 

Texture -be rough, bumpy, slick, scratchy, smooth, silky, soft, prickly--the list is endless. Texture refers to the surface quality, both simulated and actual, of artwork.

 For this photo it shows some rough and smooth texture.
This painting has rough, bumpy surfaces or texture.

Space distances or areas around, between, or within components of a piece. Space can be positive (white or light) or negative (black or dark), open or closed,shallow or deep, and two-dimensional or three-dimensional.
This shows dark and shallow in the middle and the sides.


This  shows light on the left and on the right side and not in middle and it is negative only the middle is missing in this painting.


Balance is the comfortable or pleasing arrangement of things in art. There are three different types of balance: symmetrical, asymmetrical, and radial. The human figure is symmetrically balanced; the same on the left and right side. The tree is asymmetrically balanced; its branches are not distributed equally on each side, but their total weight is balanced left and right. The sun is an example of radial balance; all its rays are equal in length from the center.  
The rocks balance each other on each side and both sides have the same weight to hold it from falling.
The fish and the birds in this painting are equal from top to bottom and have the same the number of in  each slot.
Contrast  is created by using elements that conflict with one another. Often, contrast is created using complementary colors or extremely light and dark values. Contrast creates interest in a piece and often draws the eye to certain areas. It is used to make a painting look interesting. 
In this photo you have light and dark colors with the help of the widow.
This picture shows the light and dark color designs in this painting and shows values to catch viewers eyes.

Emphasis in the focal area of an artwork gives it importance. An artist may stress some elements of the design over others. The eye of the viewer will focus on the area of emphasis or center of interest first, then take in the rest of the composition.
 The picture shows colors that attract the viewers eyes.
The colors are very bright and make its very appearing to the painting and makes the viewers eyes focus on the painting more.

Movement in an artwork means the artist is taking viewers on a trip through the work by means of lines, edges, shapes, and colors often leading to the focal area. Movement is a visual flow through the composition. It can be the suggestion of motion in a design as you move from object to object by way of placement and position. Directional movement can be created with a value pattern. It is with the placement of dark and light areas that you can move your attention through the format.
Two objects are moving and a pattern of the color is fading away as the object moves which are dark colors.
The people here in this painting represent movement and as they are in different spots they seem to being moving to place to place.

Pattern are made in art when the same shapes or elements are repeated again and again. Pattern uses the elements of art in planned or random repetitions to enhance surfaces of paintings or sculptures.
The swirl in the photograph repeated its self again, again, and again until it reaches the bottom of the ground.
The painting pattern does it over and over and over again and it still is the same pattern it does singe over time.
Rhythm is the repetition of shapes, lines, and forms. Rhythm is a movement in which some elements recurs regularly. Like a dance, it will have a flow of objects that will seem to be like the beat of music.
 The square and the big square are have rhythm in shape: little to big squares.
This pattern has rhythm to it if you follow the colors movement in the panning.

Unity means that all elements in an artwork are in harmony. Unity brings together a composition with similar units. For example, if your composition was using wavy lines and organic shapes you would stay with those types of lines and not put in even one geometric shape.
 I chose this photo because it shows a pattern or a shape in the buildings and they stay same way and not change the shapes int he building.
In this painting the artiest does not change the shapes and stays with the shapes that he/she have used in the painting.
