Presets Practice

Lightroom Presets

Warm Fog

My Presets
I did this because originally the photo was little gray for the texture of the photo. So I made it look darker and it came out pretty well, you can see little dark out lines in side the photo.

RAW vs. JPEG

Part I
RAW three advantages: Higher quality, high dynamic range, can edits its depth
Disadvantage: Memory units

JPEG advantages: Sharper, high contrast, small size
Disadvantage: Compressed

Part II
RAW- Has good quality but takes time to load
JEPG- Fast on time but will cost the quality of the photo.

Part III
The data that is retain from the camera is in pixel within the image.

It enables photographers to edit the white balance, contrast, highlights, shadows, etc..

Some factors that photographers should consider is  not every camera can shoot in RAW. The memory is lager than the JEPG file is. You convert them from RAW-JEPG but not the other way around.

They would need to know because they can take there photography even more advances then they did in the past.

Part IV
Three occasion to use RAW would be Weddings, landscaping, portraits
Three occasion to use JEPG would be news papers, parties, sports.

Sunny 16 notes

The sunny 16 rule is the proper exposure is determined by the ISO of the film/sensor setting.

10am-5pm, the shutter speed would be at 1/ISO or 1/100th

With snow/sand the brightness would be a little brighter and the aperture is f/22

LV(Light Value)/EV(Exposure Values)

Equivalent exposures- by balancing the aperture and shutter speed
Different frames have the same amount of light but different aperture and shutter speed shutter speed

Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO review

PART I: APERTURE

1. Are eyes(cornea) can relate to Aperture since it balances the light in areas to make are eyes focus by making the pupil large or small to let the right amount of light through your eyes.

2. The smaller the Aperture the more light comes in, the higher the Aperture the less light comes in the photo.

3. This impacts Depth of field because in the photo you want less or more light to use. As to this the larger the f-number the photo will balance the fore and background in the photo. While the smaller the the f-number the photo will make the foreground look sharp and the background blurry, only focusing on one subject.

4. f29, f25,f 22 ,f 20, f18, f16,f 14, f13,f 11, f10, f 9.0, f8.0 ,f7.1, f6.3,f 5.6,f 4.5

5. The highest aperture is f/1.2 and f/1.4. The lowest aperture is f/1.16.

F/2.8

F16

Part II: Shutter Speed

1. Sun up:
a.) the dunking booth-Fast
b.) the food eating contest-Slow
c.) the rock climbing wall-Medium
d.) someone working at a booth-Medium
e.) the DJ/MC working at the middle of the circle-Medium
f.) the Diamonds performance.-Fast

b.) the food eating contest-Medium
c.) the rock climbing wall-Slow
d.) someone working at a booth-Slow
e.) the DJ/MC working at the middle of the circle-Slow
f.) the Diamonds performance.-Medium

2. The settings for the shutter speed on the camera are Aperture Priority - it is when you choose the aperture and the camera choose the  shutter speed for you when you shoot,Shutter Priority- in this mode you choose the shutter the speed while the camera choose the aperture for you, and Manual- for this mode you choose both the aperture and the shutter speed for the camera.

3. The shutter speed available on the camera are: 1/4000, 1/3200, 1/2500, 1/2000, 1/1600, 1/1250, 1/1000, 1/800, 1/640, 1/500, 1/400, 1/320, 1/250, 1/200, 1/160, 1/125, 1/100, 1/80, 1/60, 1/50, 1/40, 1/30, 1/25, 1/20, 1/15, 1/13, 1/10, 1/8, 1/6, 1/5, 1/4, 0''3, 0''4, 0''5, 0''6, 0''8, 1'', 1''3, 1''6, 2'', 2''5, 3''2, 4'', 5'', 6'',8'',10'',13'',15'', 20'', 25'', 30'', BULB

High shutter speed

Low shutter speed

Part III: ISO
1. The advantage of the higher iso speed at a night event would be that you can a clearly photo because if you are at a low speed it would come out not good, also the IOS at low speed should be used when there is enough light your surrounding.
2.The author of the site suggested that you should only use a  lower ISO when there is enough light or when there is plenty of light.
3. The  author of the side suggested that when using a higher ISO is when there is not enough light around you and when taking a pictures of something moving at a high speed.
4. Iso- 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400

ISO 3200
 ISO 200
